Telematics is changing the daily lives of transport and logistics professionals.That is an inescapable truth we have frequently discussed on Fleet Street.

Transporters are already using technology that monitors the position of all their trucks in real time or the condition of all the tyres in their fleet for example. But the data recovered is starting to become marketable, even an asset for the companies. More important still is the way that data will be interpreted and used. Even if the data is found in various sectors of activity, it is reassuring to know that it cannot be used without human expertise and analysis.
